UCC2946 max watchdog/reset periodic

5 minutes is a long time! Out of curiosity can you share what type of application requires such a long watchdog period?

While the equations provided in the datasheet will theoretically extend to the long periods you are looking for, it is important to keep in mind that these capacitors are charged by relatively weak current sources. As larger capacitors are placed on these pins, the leakage inherent to the capacitors will affect timing. We have not tested or characterized this device to such long timeout periods; therefore, we would suggest that you prototype before implementing.
