TPS3850: OV and UV threshold

Part Number: TPS3850

Hi,

How should I calculate the Over voltage and undervoltage threshold values for the above said IC?

The voltage on the sense resistor is 3.3V

What does Vitnominal mean?

Thanks!

  • Janani,

The overvoltage and undervoltage values come from you deciding whether you want 4% or 7% of the nominal voltage you are monitoring. If you look at the nomenclature tab pictured below, you can pick which option you need. For example, with your nominal voltage of 3.3V, if you pick 4% (G part), your VIT- will be 3.168V and your VIT+ will be 3.432V. Similarly, VIT- will be 3.069V and VIT+ will be 3.531V for 7% (H part).

If you need 4%, the part you should be looking at is the TPS3850G33.

If you need 7%, you should be looking at the TPS3850H33.

    Thanks,

    Abhinav.
