LM3880 power problem

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM3880

I would like to use the LM3880 to sequence the enables to three linear regulators.

The three 100K feedback resistors are pulled up to VCC, same VCC is used to power up the three regulators. I have a problem regarding input power to the regulators, they seem to drop a bit below desired value.

Could using VCC, that pulls up the resistors, as an input voltage to the regulators be the problem?

  • Hello,

I am curious to know what Vcc voltage you are using and what regulators you are using? And when you say "they seem to drop a bit below desired value" are you talking about the input rail voltage or the output voltage of the regulators? Lastly, is the drop you observe only at start-up or also during operation? This can help us determine the issue. The regulators should be able to use the same input voltage Vcc as the LM3880 but a little more information can help us figure out the problem.
