UCD90160- Board not powering up after storing RAM to flash

Hi,

I am using UCD90160 on my board. I configured the voltage rails and the enable pins. And the voltage are coming up fine. This is monitored using the GUI and the USB interface adapter.

But once the storing RAM to flash is done, and the USB interface adapter is disconnected from the board and then when the board is powered on, the voltage are not coming up, which are probed using a multimeter.

Please help.

The zero jumper JP7 is mounted during programming.

Hi Rasif,

1. I download your configuration file to EVM and test, it run normally both connect with GUI or disconnect with GUI and powered by digital power source.

2. This is monitored the EN PIN of each rail.

3. Suggested to check whether it is successfully storing RAM to flash.

It looks like the PFlash checksum has been erased by accident. The ROM_MODE (D9h) command can erase the checksum. Without checksum, the device will stay in ROM mode. But when Fusion GUI is connected, it will force the device to Program mode. Please follow the attached instruction to recreate checksum.

The above document references an older version of the Configuration Programming of UCD Devices which does not include the checksum for the UCD90160, checksum should be 0x003B7D24.

Hi all,

Thank you very much. The solution of recreating the Pflash checksum worked.

In addition to what the document says, after clicking on "calculate", We have to click on "Validate"option upon which we come to know if the Pflash checksum is correct or not.
