UCD9090: keep all PSUs off after overtemp

Part Number: UCD9090

Hi,

I am having trouble identifying the correct method to force all PSUs to remain shutdown after an overtemp event.

I have set the following settings:

Are there also other settings that need to be configured?

Thanks,
G

  • Hi

The fault response only apply to the faulted rai, which is to shtudown one rail.  In order to shutdwon reset rails,  please set the rest of rails to be the falut shutdown slave of the Temperature rail.

  • Hi Yihe,

Sorry I didn't formulate my question clearly. I do not have any issues shutting down all rails. My program already follows your suggestion to have all rails set as "Fault Shutdown Slaves" when a fault is detected.

However, when an overtemp is detected, all PSUs are shutdown as expected but the power on sequence is restarted automatically. I am looking for a way to keep shut down any supplies that were turned off after the overtemp condition.

Or maybe, I did not fully understand you reply, can you clarify what you mean by "Temperature rail"?

    Thanks
    G
  • Hi

From your snapshot, the fault response of the OVER_TEMP case does not have retry and re-sequence. so the rails shall stay at off, but you may have other settings to bring them back. without your complete project file, i can not provide futher instructions.

Temperature rail is the rail that have the temperature monitoring.
