LM3881: LM3881 flag voltage and VCC

Part Number: LM3881

Hi team,

Can my customer use different flag voltage for different channel and different from the VCC? Thanks.

BR

Frank

  • The Flag outputs are open drain signal which can be pulled up with a resistor to any voltage as long as it doesn't exceed the recommended max voltage for the pin, which is VCC + 0.3V.  All the Flag pins do not need to be pulled up to the same voltage as shown in the DS image below.

If a pull-up voltage greater than VCC + 0.3V is needed then you would have to include some interface circuitry between the Flag output and that voltage.
