Part Number: PMP10737
My project is for automotive, I need to build a Safe 12 volts from the battery and inject this 12 volts in DC DC to 5 and 3.3 volts, so my originally design was based on PMP10737 which use LM74610. It seems thans LM74610 does not support 65 volts overvoltage this is what I decided to look at LM74700. Does the LM74610 (PMP10737 design) was validated for automotive ?
Thank you for posting the question about LM74610 and LM74700.
LM74610 is tested pass for most of the automotive ISO tests, except for AC superimposed tests.
Due to abs max rating of 40V, it needs two back-to-back TVS diodes to protect during dynamic reverse polarity conditions (ISO pulse test1).
PMP10737 should pass most of automotive requirements, if not all.
Do you have any special requirements such as AC superimposed tests?
However, we recommend LM74700 for withstanding stringent automotive ISO tests, as it supportes 65V abs max rating and higher gate drive strength.
LM74700 is in preview; samples and EVM are orderable here.
What is load current the application needs.
Could you please let us know the application module where this is required so that we can support better.

Dear Kari, load current is < 1 amp. LM74700 doe not need the 2 back to back TVS diodes ? regards
