Part Number: TPS2115A
I'm looking into the TPS2115A for an application that needs to switch between two power sources. In the datasheet (Rev F) for the part there is a circuit configuration shown in Figure 14 that claims:
"Figure 14 shows a circuit that will connect IN1 to OUT until the voltage at IN1 falls below a user-specified value. Once the voltage on IN1 falls below this value, the TPS2114A/5A will select the higher of the two supplies."
Is this actually the behavior? If so what aspect of the design selects me to select the voltage after which the TPS2115A selects the higher of the two voltages?
For this specific functionality, please take a look at the TPS2113A. It comes with a sense pin which allows the user to do monitor the IN1 voltage until it falls below a user specifed value and switches from IN1 to IN2. For more information, please refer to figure 14 in the TPS2113A datasheet.
