TPS22929D: Layout vs. Package

Part Number: TPS22929D

While looking at the package on the datasheet, the package shows that the top left is Vout, but when looking at the layout recommendation shows that Vout would be in the top right. Could I get an explanation on this?

Attached are the sections I am talking about and here is the datasheet.

Hi Matthew,

The layout drawing is incorrect, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please use the pinout diagram (pin 1 = VOUT) for all design purposes.

Thanks Alek for the quick response. Just a follow up, now when i set up the layout I just use the recommended layout but flip it across the x axis correct?

Hi Matthew,

Interestingly enough, you can flip it along the x-axis or y-axis to get the correct pinout. You can also double check your layout by referring to the EVM (layer plots shown):
