TPS22966: Unused Channel

Hello Team,

If one of the channels for TPS22966 needs to go unused would it be better to ground both sides or leave both sides floating?

Hi Casey,

In your case, I would leave both side floating and ground the ON pin (if possible).

Another option is to put both channels in parallel for better performance of the device. If you tie together VIN1 & VIN2, ON1 & ON2, CT1 & CT2, and VOUT1 & VOUT2 then your on-resistance will be cut in half. For more information, please refer to the TI design below:
