TPS2660: OVP and reverse voltage protection

TPS2660 does not supoort reverse voltage at the output.
For output reverse polarity protection, please have a look at TPS2662.

This device is in preview and samples are orderable in small quantity from TI store.

Could you please let us know what is application you require output reverse polarity protection.
Is it on PXI system or other modules?

I have looked into TPS2662, but the max current is only 800mA. May I know when is the release date for this part?

I am planning to use something similar to TPS2662 for 5V 2A user power supply, which required overvoltage, reverse voltage and also overcurrent/short protection. Appreciate your suggestion.

For output reverse polarity protection >800mA, TPS2660 can be used with external protection.

Please refer to the attached presentation capturing the output reverse polarity protection using TPS2660 at 2A.

Can you please share where this output reverse and over voltage TPS2660 Output Reverse Polarity Protection Circuit_10282016.pptxprotection is needed?
