LM5069: How to use LM5069 for 110V DC application using external additional circuit ?

Hi All,

Is it possible to use LM5069 for 110V DC application by using external additional circuit?

The 110V DC operating voltage range will be vary from 71V DC to 140V DC approximately.

    Can you share the end equipment details and kind of protections (over current, reverse voltage, over voltage etc) you need at the system level.
    What is the max load current?

    Hi Rakesh,
    End equipment Name: Train Control System
    It consists of several Input card(8 digital inputs) and Output card(8 digital outputs).
    We are planning to use LM5069 as a part of Output card unit in Train Control System.
    This is going to drive the inductive load system.

    Below are the details
    Operating Voltage range for 110V DC: 71V DC to 140V DC
    Max. Load Current at System level: 20A(combination of several Inputs and Outputs)
    Max. Load Current: 3.4A(For Output Card)
    Over voltage: 154V DC for 1 second(For Output Card)

    Should i need to give the below details at system level or Output card level ? Kindly give your valuable feedback.

    Thanks for the details.
    You might have already checked our existing portfolio, we don't have solution at such voltage level. Also, the work around solutions fail to restrain device under its abs max voltage rating during fault conditions.

    Based up on the above feedback, LM5069 cannot be used for 110VDC application.

    Is my understanding correct?

    Correct. LM5069 is not suitable for 110VDC application.
