TPS4H000-Q1: outputs conneted in parallel?

Hello,

in one my project I just used TPS4H000-Q1 chip version B, that has 4 outputs at 1A max.

Now, my question is: can I connected 2 inputs and 2 output together in order to have 2 outputs at 2A? For example: IN1 and IN3 are input A and IN2 and IN4 are input B, then OUT1 and OUT3 are output A and OUT2 and OUT4 are output B.

Is it possible?

Hello,

Yes the outputs can be paralleled and no issue to tie 2 outputs together and their inputs as well. The power dissipation has to be taken in consideration. Please check the application note in this link.

My fear was that is not possible to make parallel due to internal strange ways current.. But if there's no problem, well!

This application note confirm my Hypothesis.

Even if I notes the error % in current setting and short-circuit current is not so low...
