the bq500110EVM eval kit docs (SLVU429A) includes schematics ....the lower left portion of page 7 shows continuation of a demodulation circuit with an input from COIL_CURRENT which then connects to a couple of back-to-back schottky diodes....
seems like the diodes attempt to optimize the dc bias for the op amps as a function of the input modulation... anyone have a more enlightened explanation of what they do ?
The Circuit is used to shift the DC level of the AC signal. The bq500110 will not accept an input below ground.
I would recommend switching to our new 2ed Generation bqTESLA Transmitter, bq500210. This device will used digital filtering to reduce parts count and provide improved performance. The external analog filter used in bq500110 is not required.
