EPT termination to the transmitter

Bill,

I'm using the TS-CTRL feature of the bq51013a to send an EPT termination to the transmitter when charging is complete.  This works great; the transmitter turns off its "Charging" LED and the bq51013a shuts down.  Is it possible to re-establish charging without taking the receievr off of the charging pad?  My concern is that if the reciever stays on the pad long enough, the battery will need to be recharged.  I don't see any way to get the transmitter to rediscover the receiver.

Thanks for your help.

Ed

Yes the TX will send a digital ping to the RX to power it up after about 5 min.  If the TS-CTRL pin is now clear it will start power transfer.  This is done automatically every 5 min.

Also the TX will use analog ping during the 5 min to see if the RX has been replaced on the pad.

    Best Regards,
