bq51050b Charge status packet CS100 or End Power transfer packet EPT01

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ51050B

Hello,

I have a query regarding the packet sent by bq51050b once the charge termination current (as set by RTERM) has been reached.

In the datasheet it states

'The bq5105X includes a programmable upper termination threshold. This pin can be used to send the charge status 100% packet (CS100) to the transmitter in order to indicate a full charge status.'

However in the power transfer flow diagrams it states that the EPT01 charge complete packet is sent.

From my tests on a prototype rxr using the bq51050b, I can only see the charge complete packets being sent once the charge limit has been reached.

In an earlier forum thread, (http://e2e.ti.com/support/power_management/wireless_power/f/693/p/265643/938916.aspx#938916) ,it was said that the bq51050b does send the CS100. Can you please confirm this? If so is there settings on the bq51050 that can used to make it send the CS100 instead of the EPT01?

Best regards,

Gareth
