WPC 1.0 devices will work with WPC 1.1 devices.
In your case the bq500210 (WPC 1.0) transmitter will work with bq51013B (WPC 1.1) Receiver.
The big feature that was added in WPC 1.1 is Foreign Object Detection (FOD). For the feature to work both the RX and TX must be WPC1.1.
Hi Bill, I inserted a metal object, close to the transmitter coil and after few seconds, the receiver stopped working, thereafter wakeup and stopped again, three times bofore shutting down definetely.
It looks like the FOD system is working instead BQ500210 is not WPC1.1, is it possible or there is some thing else?
The bq500210 does not have FOD but it does have PMOD, this will detect a foreign object in a WPC 1.0 system IF TI RX and TI TX are used. See data sheet for additional information.
Also I have added an FAQ to the forum.
