BQ51013B EN pin

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ51013B

Dear all,

Question 1,

How much power does this device need from MCU to activate EN?

We think that 3.3V supply to EN from MCU.

How much current flowing?

Question 2,

In the block diagram at data sheet p.9, EN1 is pulled up.

What voltage is this?

Question 3,

What is the way to switch EN1 to TERM? and TERM to EN1?

  • To answer your question:

    1. There's 200k ohm pull down resistance on EN pins. 3.3V pull up will work and the current will be 16.5uA.

    2. In the block diagram, the pull up is only used for some different spins (bq5105x) and doesn't apply to bq51013B. As long as EN pin voltage is above 1.3V, it is logic high. It is logic low when the voltage is below 0.4V.

    3. Similarly, the TERM is also only apply to other spins and please ignore it for bq51013B. We will remove it from the datasheet in the next revision to avoid confusion.

    Thanks,
