Hi, wireless charging expert,

I am checking BQ51221 in wireless charging solution.

But I have found an issue that sometimes BQ51221 will respond with WPC data packet, sometimes it will respond with PMA symbols.

What is the mode switch method in BQ51221? How it will judge which mode to enter?

How to enable only WPC mode?

The IC will detect the voltage at TMEM pin to tell if it is PMA or WPC transmitters. If TMEM is <1V, the receiver responds in PMA and if TMEM is >1V, the receiver will detect WPC.

The attached circuit will put the IC in WPC only mode.
