Q-value affect the wireless charging system

Hi ,

We are now do the wireless charging product. And meet a question,

When we choose the TX coil and RX coil, we find the different Q-value coil affect the wireless charging system.

I want to kown why the coil's Q affect the wireless charging system's design( the coil's inductance and DCR are the same). IS this parameter is very important for the wireless charging design? How the Q-value work.

Hello,

the Q-Factor is different for different coils and can be used to describe a coil. A good explanation for that can be found on the official webpage of the WPC consortium.
