Hi, I work for a company that does mobile accessories, chargers, batteries and cables. We want to get into wireless chargers, I'm looking for a way to test wireless chargers. We would buy a Qi certified charger off shore and add our look to the design. We would just want to do some very basic tests to verify it works correctly and was not damaged in shipment. I see you have the BQ51202 EVM, would that be a good solution?

We do not have a part number bq51202. Do you mean bq51020? The bq51020 is a Wireless Power Receiver only. If you would like to charge a battery, you will need an external battery charging circuitry. Or you can use bq51050b or bq51051b, which has an integrated battery charger. All of these devices should have EVM available on our website.

Yes, I'm sorry I transposed those numbers. I do mean the bq51020, thanks. I saw where you could simulate the battery with a resistor load. We want to use the bq51020 to test the cordless transmitter we purchase off shore. Will the bq51020 communicate with any off shore transmitter we buy if it's Qi compliant?

Yes, the bq51020EVM should work with a Qi certified transmitter off the shelf.

The spec. for the bq51020 states the max output current at 1.5 amps. With the WPC at the new 1.2 specification and 15 watts output, are you planning a new receiver with that capability and when will it be available?
