BQ500212A Qi certification

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ500212A

Hi Wireless charger team

I have a customer face the following issue.

1. BQ500212A:

We have tested customer’s  BQ500212A in testing Lab, and customer is waiting us to solve their Qi certification issue and Mass produce.

Issue 1:

When we use QI RX equipment to test customer’s TX. We found the TX will interrupt transmission and show “under voltage” just add 32Ω load resistor, for other load resistor , BQ500212A can continue to work.

Issue2:

When we increase load resistor to 4W/5W, We found  TX power couldn’t meet the require, and testing equipment  show the RX always keep require  +16/17,but the TX  power always keep no increasing. And the voltage is 4.1V/4.2V. it couldn’t arrive 4.8V.

For bq TESLA TX tuning tools:  What is the mean of loss power.  Especially  the value is usually below zero. Like -300,or -600. Do you have some documents to describe this software?

Could you send me necessary docs about TX tuning, This is very urgent case. I will tune it during weekends.

3. When I tuning RX, I found RX Power always higher TX power.  If this is normal??

I have tested Mofie in BQ500212A EVM  and get the following data. The Loss is -623. But TX is 6196, RX is 5977, So this data confuse me.

And I have tested customer’s RX. The RX is high than TX and Loss is -3562. I can’t understand this data. It can charger our ihhone6 normally, Even the data is so strange .
