Sending customer data through Wireless charging coils?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ501210

Hi,

Working on a project using Wireless Power for battery charging, I need to send one data byte (customer information) : I haven't find IC's able to do this!!

If I understand WPC1.2, it'll possible to exchange customer data between Rx and Tx, , but not at this time WPC 1.1 and 1.0

Could you confirm if I'm right or Not ?

Is there a way to do this, I've just a byte to send from Tx to Rx.

Thanks

  • The WPC v1.2 does add the option to transfer data from the TX to the RX for low power devices. It is mandatory for medium power devices.
The bq501210 TX can transfer data to an RX. See the Communication section of the datasheet (8.4.3).
At this point, TI does not have an RX that can receive data from the TX.
    Regards,
    Dick
