DHCP server is used on the host side (Linux/Windows PC), NOT on the target side (DM816x board). And we tested with isc-dhcp-server, but dhcp3-server might also work.
See the below wiki page for details:
Ehsan HematiNo I dont Install Dhcp3 -server on target , I know it must install on host machine . (my linux is 11.10 )
You have to install the dhcp server on host machine and start it on host machine.
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS 32-bit, Ubuntu 11.10 32-bit and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 32-bit are tested with DM816x EZSDK 5.05 and are working fine.
Ehsan HematiDo you using this service on ubuntu 11.10 ?
No. I use isc-dhcp-server, but dhcp3-server should also work fine.
