Dear All,
For X-ray medical equipments I'm re-enginering the electronic boards of a product designed almost 20-years ago. One of these boards has on it a floating-point DSP TMS320C31. This component is obsolete by long time, and now is very hard to find, so we would like to get a "still active" replacement for it, but we need also to minimize circuitry redesign and firmware migration activities.
All board logic IC's work at 5V (DSP itself), but we could manage for a component requiring other supply voltage(s).
In order to minimize the burden of migration of code written for this DSP (with extensive critical hard real-time code written in assembly), an instruction-set compatible component is the best solution at all.
May You kindly support me to identify the best DSP component suitable for my needings?
Many Thanks for the support,
FAX
