TDA2P-ACD: Capturing more than 4 image streams over 2 CSI-2 ports

Hello,

I am trying to capture/display 8 1MP cameras on TDA2P. I have 8 cameras being captured via the 2xUB960 FPD hub, each going to one of the two CSI2 ports on the SoC. I am able to capture 8 streams, but only 4 of the streams are being unpacked properly from the raw12 MIPI format. The other 4 I suspect are being captured in their packed format and placed straight into DDR. Is this a hardware limitation of the SoC? I cannot find any documentation about the second CSI2 port and its processing capabilities, or how it interfaces with CAL_A.

Hi Ben,

CAL has only 4 pixel processing context, which is why it can unpack only 4 channels.

We are internally discussing about how to solve this issue, will get back to you.
