One of my customer is starting to do research into adding voice commands to our newest product. It would most likely consist of a key phrase to activate the listener followed by a command from a limited set of command words. They want to train the recognition library in house, so that there will be no user-trained commands. they have ordered the C5535 eZdsp EVM and are having issues getting it to work in CCS. One of the issues they are having is finding cslVC5505 project and aren't sure if C5xxCSL_LP is the correct one to use instead.

I have found this user guide (http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/tidubj5a/tidubj5a.pdf) but it hasn't been update in a couple of years so I wanted see if there's anything more up to date as far as getting customers set up and guiding through the process.

Yes that's correc,t please use C55XXCSL_LP.
See C:\ti\c55_lp\c55_csl_3.08\demos\TIesr\c5535\readme.txt.

Keep in mind that support for TIesr is very limited and any customizations to the TIesr engine isn't supported.

Thank you for providing the link in your previous post.

They've switched over to C55XXCSL_LP, and I think finally are mostly running.

There is an error in the csl_i2c.c file in that project. The description of the I2C_read function seems to be based on an older version of said function, and omits two new arguments, Uint16* subAddr and Uint16 subAddrLength. The description needs to be updated to include these arguments, or a separate function should be written so that there is a version with and a version without.

The TIesrDemoC55 project seems to expect the older I2C_read function without these two arguments, which causes the compile to fail. they are currently working to figure out how these arguments should be supplied and change all references in this version of the project. Have you seen these errors before - any idea how this could be fixed?

Yes, the I2C function definition is from an older CSL version, so you would need to adapt the relevant function parameters for the new CSL v3.08.
