RTOS/AM5728: Connecting 2 IDK Boards for DCAN External Loopback Communication

Part Number: AM5728
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65HVD230

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

Hi Support,

As noted in the title, I am looking to connect two IDK's and transmit frames between them. I also have a CAN Transceiver and 2x 120 Ohm Termination connectors.

I've reviewed the AM572x Technical Reference Guide Section 24.10 DCAN.

I've also reviewed the TI AM335x DCAN Linux Driver Guide.

As well as TI AM572x General Purpose EVM HW Guide

And the TI Linux Core DCAN Guide.

How do I ensure proper operation for the DCAN External Loopback Application in the TI-RTOS?

I am using jumper wires out of the J38 CAN Header Connection.

If I hook up the boards like this, where does the Transceiver go?

How do I distinguish one board with ID#0 and the other with ID#1?

Please let me know if I am missing any information. Thank you in advance.
