AM5728: storage location of recorded audio file through stereo input

Hai,

i want to know the location of the audio recorded through the audio jack line in on the AM5728 GP EVM with SDK (ti-processor-sdk-linux-am57xx-evm-05.00.00.15). Also, i am willing to know how these files can be stored into SD card inserted into the Board.

Hi,

First I would like to know how you boot your board? EMMC or SD Card?

If you boot from EMMC, you can store the recorded file anywhere in the filesystem:
arecord [flags] [filename]
you just have to give the full path in [filename]

To store it on the SD Card (in case you boot from EMMC) you have to mount the sd card first and then point the path in [filename]

i am booting it from sd card and can you tell me where the above command be used ( along with sample directory).
And also can you help me with the saving of video recording done through the usb camera

Hi,

Then create a folder in your home directory i.e. ~/recorded_audio and execute the following commands:
cd ~/recorded_audio
arecord [flags] my_audio

and it will record my_audio in the ~/recorded_audio directory.

Here is how you can record video:
