Hi All.

I try to monitor current and temperature of PMIC via its internal ADC (tps65917-Q1).

Please advice how to do it in best way.

Please advice conversion formulas from ADC to current and temperature.

Dear Piyali.

I am familiar with these two documents, and i know how to get ADC for temperature, but i didn't find the proper formula to convert ADC to temperature. Please advise how to do it.

Regarding current monitoring, please provide me an example of how to configure channel 4 (for current measurement) and how to convert its ADC to current in amperes.

The temperature conversion formula is shown below (located in the TPS659039 datasheet). This formula will be added to the TPS65917 datasheet in the next update.

For the current conversion, the information can be found in the spec table (section 4.10):

The TPS659039 documentation has more details. This PMIC is very much similar to TPS65917 in terms of programming model.

Kindly refer to www.ti.com/.../tps659039-q1.pdf Section 6.3.2.1.3 Current Monitoring and Short Circuit Detection

This gives details on how you can set the GPADC_SMPS_ILMONITOR_EN to select the SMPS which you would like to monitor and what is the formula for calculation of the current.
