Hello, TI Experts,

We have additional question about the below E2E-thread about changing McASP of AM5728.

The E2E-thread said:

"Use the pinmux tool here and generate the pinmux files and rebuild the board library".

Question:

We just overwrite the below folder with generate the pinmux files and rebuild, if we use TMDSEVM572X.

- C:\ti\pdk_am57xx_1_0_xx\packages\ti\board\src\evmAM572x

Is this understanding correct?

If we need to modify some pinmux related files, please tell us.

Hi,

For the AM57x, the PINMUX should generate 4 new files, replacing the existing ones and rebuild the board library.

We have a question:
We use TMDSEVM572X.
We think the pinmux file of TMDSEVM572X is below file.
- C:\ti\pdk_am57xx_1_0_xx\packages\ti\board\src\evmAM572x\evmAM572x_SR2.0.pinmux
Is this understanding correct?

Hi,

Yes, there are two pinmux files there. One is for revision 1.1 silicon, the other is for rev 2.0. You need to know your EVM SOC revision to determine the which file to use, please see AM572x TRM section 1.5. AM572x Device Identification.
