RTOS/AMIC110: Project Creation for AMIC110

Thanks for information.

I am refer product user guide to generate project (PRP Application) for AMIIC110.

in user guide only below SOC are supported

• AM571x - To generate a project specific to AM571x
• AM572x - To generate a project specific to AM572x
• AM437x - To generate a project specific to AM437x
• AM335x - To generate a project specific to AM335x
• AM57xx - To generate a library project specific to AM57xx
• K2G - To generate a project specific to K2G

No SOC for AMIC110.

I am using PRU-ICSS-HSR-PRP-DAN_01.00.04.02 for example code and SDK version is 05.01.00.11.

Kindly suggest me how to proceed.

Hi Vipin,

We are moving the user guide from wiki to ti.com which will have the AMIC11x support added.

The PRU-ICSS-HSR-PRP-DAN_01.00.04.02 software package does support AMIC11x, see software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html , e.g.

C:\ti\PRU-ICSS-HSR-PRP-DAN_01.00.04.02\protocols\hsr_prp\projects>projectCreate.bat AMIC11x arm hsr_app

There might be an issue if not using the SDK specified in the user guide. Also be sure to apply the PDK patch in protocols\pdk_patches\04.03.00.

I had try to generate code for AMIC11x through projectCreate.bat file , i am get some error like "Path is not avilable".

Hi Vipin,

If you really have the paths as specified in the log, make sure you open CCS to detect the new installed PDK components.

This path does not exist in PRU-ICSS-HSR-PRP-DAN_01.00.04.02 software package.

But as per software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html it support AMIC110.

Kindly guide me how i can generate projec tfor AMIC110.

I thning current PDK version is pdk_am335x_1_0_12 and PRU-ICSS-HSR-PRP-DAN_01.00.04.02 software package is asking for pdk_am335x_1_0_10.

How i can down grade my ndk version or is there any compatible software package.

You can get the pdk_am335x_1_0_10 from Processor SDK 4.3 here - software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html

Thanks for support, i am able to generate project for AMIC11x.

I have once observation, In project properties it show me AM3359 instead of AMIC110.

what is meaning of this. is this project is created for AMIC110 or for AM3359?

AMIC110 and AM3359 are both Cortex-A8 based, hence you may observe AMIC11x and AM335x are used interchangeably.

Hi,

when I am trying to compile the code I am getting below error.

 

 

After making ethPrioQueue[16] as array, I am able to compile the code, but while code execution it stuck into any unknown location.

You need to follow the ReadMe.txt to apply the PRSDK-3086-HSRPRP_2_interrupts_PDK.patch in protocols\pdk_patches\04.03.00 to PRSDK and then re-build the icss_emac driver (pdk_am335x_1_0_10\packages\ti\drv\icss_emac).

See processors.wiki.ti.com/.../PRU_ICSS_HSR_PRP:
- To build the project, ensure the PDK patches if any in [INSTALL-DIR]/protocols/pdk_patches/04.03.00 are applied. This is an required step as
there is dependency on baseline Processor SDK.

Kindly check the patch file full path and source file path, let me know if it is wrong.

Also processors.wiki.ti.com/.../PRU_ICSS_HSR_PRP: link is not opening.

Yes, you certainly can manually apply the patch.

Hi Garret,

For patch i used Win32 Command file only.

After manual patch, now i am able to compile the code.

During debug at initial stage it give below error

CortxA8: Unhandled ADP_Stopped exception 0x20023

No source available for "do_AngelSWI(int, void *) [C:/ti\PRU-ICSS-HSR-PRP-DAN_01.00.04.02\protocols\hsr_prp\projects\hsr_app_AMIC11x_arm\AMIC11x_release\hsr_app_AMIC11x_arm.out] at 0x80069124"

For debugging i choose A8 processor, JTAG is XDS100V2 and board is TMDXICE110.

After patching the files, did you rebuild PDK icss_emac library as noted in README.txt.

Good to see your progress. You don't have to create your project from scratch, instead you just need to update the board library from PDK to align with your custom board. You may open another thread for PDK board library customization, thanks.
