Linux/AM5718: Qt Version not properly installed

Hello Ravi,

I am wondering if you could please share which PSDK you are using for your test setup. I am not able to replicate your error using Qt Creator 5.9.6 and PSDK5.0.

I am using this SDK "ti-processor-SDK-Linux-am57xx-evm-05.02.00.10" and my Qt version 5.9.7

In your previous post, you mentioned that you were using Qt Creator 4.3.1 and I am wondering if you are able to replicate your errors using Qt Creator 5.9.7.

Hello Ravi,

In the lab, it is mentioned to perform the following step before opening the qtcreator: "source /home/sitara/AM335x/ti-processor-sdk-linux-<machine>-<sdk version>/linux-devkit/environment-setup" . I am wondering if you could please confirm if you have performed the required step.

For my test setup, I have PSDK5.2 and I downloaded the following Qt Creator 4.7.1:

 

I performed the steps 1 and 2 under the "LAB 2: QT Creator Hello World" before configuring qmake.

From the beginning, I performed all the steps given in LAB 2.

It gave the same error, I will share the all the configuration screenshots please check that,

I am using PSDK "ti-processor-sdk-linux-am57xx-evm-05.02.00.10-Linux-x86-Install.bin" and below PSDK qmake version is,

Hello Raveen,

After running the command “source environment-setup”, could you please verify if you are getting a valid path after running the command “echo $QMAKESPEC”?

The only way I could replicate your errors is if I open Qt without running the command “source environment-setup”. Also, could you please share how you are opening the Qt Creator?

Please correct me if I am wrong but I believe you might not be launching the Qt Creator from the same terminal that you are calling the command “source environment-setup”. For example, in the picture below, I call the source command followed by the location of the qtcreator executable (same terminal window):

I launch Qt Creator from the same terminal where I am calling source environment-setup, I tried both cases with and without "sudo" mode.
