Linux/DRA77P: Upgrading recipe in yocto layers

Hi team,

I am using PSDK v5, and the recipes provided in your yocto layer's meta-qt is having qt version 5.6. Can anyone please guide me on how to upgrade the qt version? I am a beginner in yocto. I believe just replacing meta-qt in sources with meta-qt5 [rocko branch] from github won't help. Am I right?

Hi Sam,

Firstly, the PSDKLA version 5.x release is already using the rocko branch and Qt Version is 5.9.

The earlier version of the SDK which was PSDKLA 3.04 was based on the Krogoth branch and it was using 5.6 version of Qt.

So I'm a little confused here. Please check and let me know if there is still a disconnect?

Hi Karthik,

I have a qt app which needs to be cross compiled using the sysroot. There is prebuilt sysroot in linux devkit but i think i should use sysroot built in yocto layers/build folder. Am i right?

Hi Sam,

You can use the sysroots from the linux-devkit directory. It will be the same as the sysroots that you will get when you build it.
