[DRA829] Which displays or monitors are supported via Display Port (DP)?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRA829

(I am submitting this generic question on behalf of a customer)

Which displays or monitors are supported via Display Port (DP)?

From a TI colleague, I hear that the driver for (1) Linux and the driver for (2) TI RTOS is different, so display support may differ.

Can someone inform me of the manufacturer and the model number of the display?

If you are reading this, using the TI DRA829 EVM and a DP-supported monitor, won't you please update the thread with your display manufacturer and model #?

Thank you,

Jason

  • The TI Dallas team has used the following displays with the DRA829 via DP:

    • LG 24UD58
    • LG27UD58
    • HP EliteDisplay E242

  • Hi Jason,

On RTOS side we have tried DP with below monitor, if you can get one of these it should work

    • DELL P2417H
    • DELL P2419H
    • LG27UK650

In next release we are trying to improve the DP display support.

  • Hello Community,

I received a TI-Internal response from a colleague with this addition:

For Linux, almost any display supporting DP will work.

My colleague has not encountered a display that did not work with Linux for DRA829.

I have marked this issue as "Answered".

    With kind regards,
    Jason

  • Hi Vinay,

This question was about monitors where DP is supported.

Kindly start a new thread for error with running Linux.
