Hi, guys !! Has anyone developed an soft uart using PRU that we could use via linux device ?? like /dev/ttySU01. Today BBB PRU0 an PRU1 could handle 3 uart each.

Hello Daniel,

TI has recently added PRU soft UART back into Processors SDK.

RTOS SDK: PRU software UART firmware added as of SDK 5.3. See the RTOS SDK 5.3 documentation here.

Linux SDK: Linux driver and PRU software UART firmware added as of SDK 6.1. See the Linux SDK 6.3 documentation here.
