Using CC2590 to boost CC2640 output

Hi, I am looking for some design guide or reference design for adding the CC2590 booster to the RF outputs of the CC2640. I need to boost the +5dBm output from the CC2640 up to +14dBm that the CC2590 provides. There are reference designs for CC25xx and CC24xx devices but nothing for the CC2640.

I am also interested to know if I should supply CC2590 Vdd with the DCDC Vdds output from the CC2640 or from the independent 3.3V power supply. Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Phil.

    Dear Phil,

Please take a look at this reference design:

You can also take a look at these E2E threads:

Thanks R.M, this is helpful. Can you let me know how the L3 between RF_P and RF_N should have its value determined?

    Cheers,

    Phil.

    In reply to Philip Craig:

    Hi Phil,

L3 is not mounted by default but it's recommended to have a footprint for a component there if tuning becomes needed on your custom design.

    Reidar
