Design of an FMCW radar with 4GHz bandwidth and high amplitude.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TRF3765, LMX2581, LMX2582

Hello,

I am designing a radar using FMCW technique which operates in frequency range of 1-4GHz with an amplitude of 5V. I am looking for help in selecting the type and proper oscillator, amplifier, antenna and mixer.

I have posted the rough sketch of design. It would be really helpful if someone would help in developing a detailed design for the same specifications.

Thanks and Regards.

This type of request is generally outside the normal bounds of this forum, but I can point you in the direction of a few TI parts that may be of interest. Check out the LMX2581 or the LMX2582 or the TRF3765 for the synthesizer. You can check out the TRF37x75 or TRF37x73 amp families for generic gain blocks suitable for RF or IF frequencies. Finally, check out the RX mixer family, TRF37x32, that operates up to 3800 MHz.
