Direct Down-Conversion System with I/Q Correction

Hello,

I'm a bit frustated to see that TSW6011EVM board are obsolete. Do you have an alternative ?

with mixer, I/Q demodulator, ADCs, FPGA integrated all in 1 board as the TSW6011EVM does ?

It will be very appreciated.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Yes, the TSW6011 had to be obsolete as many of the devices on the board (not TI devices) went obsolete and it was unable to be manufactured any longer. There is no direct alternative available that puts all of that together. Of course, the standalone TRF3711 EVM is available as well as several options for ADC capture.

If you have access to a TI sales person, please relay your need. They can contact the proper product group and see if there is a unit not in inventory that is available.

  • Dear RJH,

Thanks a lot for your answer and your contribution!

It was for testing our system in amplitude and phase, we really need a board to evaluate.

I've seen a post from omar DIOURI he was working on TSW 6011 EVM board 6 years ago. I don't know if he still have the board.

or maybe  he used the TSW6011 EVM GUI.

I don't know if I can contact them, avoiding a complete development (including mixers, I/Q demod, ADCs and FPGA stuff and programming vhdl…) and it would be a good opportunity to test direct down-conversion (ZERO-IF) with  I/Q correction processing in order to compensate for the degradation of signal quality from a direct down-conversion. It would be great to test it without time consuming (6-12 months of development).

Do you think we have a chance to get contact with them ?

    Cheers,

    Julien

No, I don't recommend to contact other TI customers. I do want you to contact your local TI sales person. It is not possible to support obsolete hardware through the forum; however, your local sales person can assist in a non-traditional way.
