TBWA2/40dB

Hello everyone,

Had a query regarding wideband amplifier. If I connect TBWA2/40dB (Tekbox make) amplifier in reverse direction that is RF IN is connected in place of RF OUT what will happen to amplifier?

NOTE- there is a green LED indicating that it is ON but Amplifier is not working .

  • Well, that device is not a TI product so it is difficult to comment.  In general it depends on the amount of power delivered to the output and the sensitivity of the amp.  If the signal is low power, then the amplifier is probably still OK.  If you have a way to monitor the current, then a too low of current may indicate the amplifier is blown.
