EMIF frequency on GC5337 EVal board

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAPL138

Hi,
We are using GC5337 EVM as a reference to one of our design. On the reference board, OMAPL138 has an common interface (EMIF) to FLASH,GC5337 & FPGA.
kindly let us know the DSP/ARM frequency, EMIF & DDR used on the eval baord.
Where to change the boot pll settings and plz share the config file of the same.

  • Hello

In the OMAP boot process, the PLL settings are set to the maximum rate.  There is a divider for the external EMIFA and EMIF DDR settings for clock, there are also Setup, Strobe, Hold, and Turnaround delays for the separate Chip Selects.

Since the settings are Chip Select adjustable; you can set the FPGA and GC5337 usually for the same value.   The flash has a different set, and the DDR has a different set.  The flash and DDR parameters are tuned to your board and parts selection (to pass environmental tests).

Using a 62.5Mhz EMIFA bus speed for the GC5337 is OK.  The Setup, Strobe, Hold, and Turnaround delays for the Chip Select for GC5337 can be initially set to 2, 3, 1, 1.

I don't have the software files currently, Purna's DSP application person can be asked about the ARM boot setup parameters for now.

    Regards,
