GC5016 replacement

I´m working in a new digital repeater desing, I can see that GC5016 is NRND.

Will there be any replacement part ?

Thanks

Andres

  • Hello Andres,

Depending on the application, and bandwidth there are different products.  There is no direct replacement for the GC5016.   If the repeater is LTE5 to LTE20 bandwidths, the GC6016 EVM can support two antennas repeaters up to 60Mhz band.  The application would still use a Baseband FPGA to take the BBRx data and forward this to your specific BBTx channel.

There are some ADC/DAC, integrated transceiver solutions under the analog High Speed Products, that can be coupled with an FPGA-radio.   You can search for RF repeater under the TI website.

An interesting repeater application is to have 2 integrated zero IF transceivers that have the different Rx/Tx PLL frequencies, in this case either JESD204B electrical  repeaters or optical interfaces combine two different RF bands, where the JESD section runs near zero IF.
