Hi TI

We set the output power of 4.5dBm of CC2530 . But the output power that measured by IQView is 0.5dBm ,we do not why the power loss is quite more?So we hope you can explain it and help us ,Thanks.

The problem is the output power can not be close to what we set and the power loss is quite more. Does it caused by balun impedance ?

If you read the datasheet the nominal output power could be down to 0 dBm so what you see is actually within what would be expected for the 4.5 dBm setting.
- Have you taken into consideration the cable loss? You probrably have close to 1 dB loss in the cable between the test point and the instrument
- What is the accuracy of the instrument? Is it calibrated?

We will try it that what you said . And is it right that the balun circuit can not play vital role in power loss ?

The output power stated in the datasheet is measured at the antenna connector. The loss in the balun is already taken into consideration.

I have a confusion about CC2530 output power . We think that balun circuit can loss a bit of output power . How can we match balun circuit to decrease loss at balun circuit ?
