I use the Windows OS when there is no other way...
Three week ago i bought the SmartRF06 eval board at the fair "Embeded World" in Nürnberg.
I prefere a 64 bit Mac or Ubuntu Host, installing some Windows OS as guest in VirtualBox (VB).
My results are:
With Windows XP in the VB, the SmartRF Studio 7 (SS7) crashes right at start. With Windows 7 in the VB, you can start up SS7.
The second problem ist, that the eval board gets the wrong driver assigned. But even after a manual reinstal of the FTDI driver(s) located under the installation directory of SS7, the device crashes.
Has anyone succeded using this SW and HW in this constellation?
