Hi,

CC115L is used for 433MHz for Balun and RF matching.

so i want to 436Mhz balun and RF matching. so is it possible in CC115L and which components and its value affect?

What should do for getting 436MHz for Balun and RF matching?

You can use the 433 MHz reference design for operation on 436 MHz without any performance difference.

Do we need to change the LC filter component's value for transmission at 436MHz freq? If changes required then which filter component values we need to use?

We need PCB antenna design for 436MHz freq. Can you please suggest us?

No need to change any component values.

See the 433 MHz reference design here: www.ti.com/.../toolssoftware or www.ti.com/.../cc110lem-433-rd for PCB antenna. Remember to add placeholders for matching components.

The balun is wideband and cover a fairly large frequency range. The operation frequency for the chip is set by the FREQ word.

Hi,

Thank you very much. This is indeed a very useful information for us. Can you please explain me how to calculate the component values for balun and the filter there-after?

Please suggest a link to some specific calculations/formulas.

Also a good short tutorial to design an PCB antenna for a non-RF engineer.

Balun: Use the values in the reference design. You don't need to change anything for you use.

Antenna: Copy the antenna in the links I posted and you will have a good PCB antenna. Only very experienced RF engineers should design their own antennas, users with limited experience should copy existing antennas carefully.

hi,

This ref design is for 2 layer pcb and we are planing to use 4 or 6 layer pcb board.
so is there any change for antenna layout ?

Actually the CC1200 ref design is 4 layer. If the thickness of the PCB changes the antenna could change slightly hence the importance of matching components but no need to change the antenna layout.

CC1200 is use for 868 MHz frequency, and we will looking for 436MHz so,can we use same pcb layout for antenna and balun?

and which antenna is better for 436MHz ? either MIFA antenna(it is used for 2.4GHz) or Helical PCB antenna?

On the CC1200 page I posted a link to you will find a reference design for 433 MHz. On this board the same antenna is used as on the CC110L ref design I linked to.
