LMX8410LEVM: EVM doesn't work what expected

Part Number: LMX8410LEVM

Hello,

We are trying to evaluate LMX8410LEVM and checked LO_P and IF_IM output but the result was not expected.

LO_P power was -50dBm as attached and there is no IF_IM signal(20MHz). Is -50dBm power of LO_P right result?

I guess not to be able to configure TISCpro properly. Would you review TICSpro setting? If the configuration is no issue, what is thinkable reason?

VCC = 5.3V.  LO frequency sets 7.98GHz. RF frequency applied 8GHz, 3dBm power.

    Toshihiro-san,
On the mixer tab, set the common mode votlage to be internal, not external. If it's not this, I'm not sure.
Also, be sure to get the latest TICSPro from the web. We upgraded it a few days ago and fixed some bugs in the LMX8410L.

    Hello Dean-san,

The latest TICSpro defaul configuration, mixer tab is like below.

The setup wizard is internal but programming VCM is external. Should we set this external to 1.4V?

    Toshihiro-san,

In my setup, what I did was under the "Programming", I changed "VCM" from "External" to "1.7 V' and then I was able to see an output .

TICSPRO v1.6.8 GUI has a bug in LMX8410 if poly_path used. The issue solved if LMX8410L setting files are replaced by attahced.
