Max VccCP for LMX2581 ?

I would like to know the safe maximum voltage that can be applied to VccCP (Charge Pump) for the LMX2581? The data sheet suggests 3.3V but some parts allow this pin to go to +5 or more.

    David,

    The maximum charge pump voltage is 3.45 volts.  If you are using the internal VCO, there is no benefit to using a higher voltage as it is internally limited with the internal VCO to about 2.5 volts to the VCO.

    With an external VCO, you can go up to 3.45 volts.   If you are interested in a 5 volt charge pump device and you want to use an external VCO, consider the LMX2492, which allows a 5 volt charge pump.
