LMX2485E / Timing to start polling Ftest/LD pin

Hi,

My customer plan to polling Ftest/LD pin output then they are asking the timing to start polling it. You recommend to program the N counter last so do you recommend to start polling after programming the N counter?

    Sonoki-san,

    Yes, poll after programming the N counter, but after this is done, you need to account for the time it takes for the PLL to lock.   However, realize that the PLL may take some time, which is higly dependent on the loop bandwidth.   This can vary from several ms to microseconds.   If you take 4/(LoopBandwidth), this gives a rough estimate.
