TRF3722: TRF3722 VCC_TK?

Part Number: TRF3722

DEARS.

The VCC_TK of TRF3722EVM features 5V better than 3.3V.
Is there data comparing VCC_TK 3.3V and 5V output?
On the datasheet, all characteristics are measured with 5 V applied(Linearity(P1dB, OIP3), Phase Noise)
Does TI recommend using 5V?
Why does TI recommend using 5V?

Thank you.

  • The 5v Tank voltage provides slightly better phase noise performance. It is on the order of 1.5 to 2 dB better between ~100 kHz to ~10 MHz offset (where the VCO performance dominates). TI recommends the 5V tank as that provides the best phase noise performance, but operating at 3.3V is perfectly acceptable.
