Hi,

I have interfaced fdc2114("fdc2114 EVM board detached ic") with the pic microcontroller (dsPic30f4011) through i2c. But the controller didn't read the data correctly .

I have connected the ADDR pin to 3.3v.and SD pin to GND. So i have given i2c address as(0x2B).

I configured initial configuration register values as given in the data sheet.

In the initial register configuration, i disabled the all interrupts.so i didn't connect INTB pin.

Any one please suggest to rectify this problem or any fdc2114 i2c interface example code available means please suggest me.

Hi Sureshbabu,

It doesn't seem like there's anything special that needs to be done when communicating to the PIC via I2C vs communicating with the typical MCU that we use. Please check your register settings to make sure they're all correct - your pins all seem tied to the correct level.

I have same problem. I want to interfaced FDC2214 via STM32. But can't communicate with FDC. All Hardware is checked. Have you any suggestions? FDC part is deattached from EVM also added external pull-up resistors to i2c line.Thanks.

According to data sheet they have given i2c address 0x2a (or)0x2b.

But some microcontroller doesn't take it as a slave address.

Better you check i2c bus address through i2c identification code,which i2c address the fdc give acknowledge ment.

Otherwise use fdc i2c address as 0x54 (or)

Hi,

I afraid can't communicate with FDC. Is it require any start sequence or initialize method? When I reconnect to EVM communication ok, But EVB send to some data to FDC part on I2C lines at when I connect USB.
